In 2023, an estimated 11.12 billion Japanese yen of the operating costs of the J. League was money that was distributed to soccer clubs that participate in the J. League. The J. League represents Japan's professional soccer circuit and is divided into three divisions (J1, J2, J3). J. League matters are handled by J. League Inc., a company and governing body for professional soccer in Japan which was newly formed in 2020 with the merger of multiple companies.
