In Southern Africa, households accounted for 32 percent of the final energy consumed as of 2018, followed by manufacturing, construction, and mining activities with a share of 30 percent. The transport sector made up 24 percent of the region's energy consumption, while energy used for agricultural purposes represented only 3.2 percent of the total.
