The Tankan survey, conducted among financial institutions in Japan from August to September 2024, revealed that non-deposit money corporations evaluated business conditions most positively, with a Diffusion Index (DI) of 42 points. The Tankan survey stands for the Short-Term Economic Survey of Enterprises in Japan. It is conducted once in three months with the aim of providing an accurate picture of the business trends of enterprises in Japan.
