In 2022, TikTok was the leading entertainment and streaming app in the United States, with 99 million downloads in the country from iOS and Google Play combined. Disney+ generated 41 million downloads, ranking as the second most downloaded entertainment app in the U.S. The mobile app for streaming service HBO Max ranked sixth, amassing 34 million downloads from U.S. users in 2022. Disney+, which was launched in November 2019, saw approximately 8.4 million downloads in the U.S. during the third quarter of 2022 alone.
