Main organic permanent crops in Africa 2019
Organic coffee farming in Africa occupied an area of 330 thousand hectares, the largest among organic permanent crops in the continent. Olive and cocoa cultivation followed, each distributed through an area of 244 thousand and 217 thousand hectares, respectively. Over 60 percent of Africa's organic agricultural land was used for permanent crop plantations.
