Countries with the highest organic share of agricultural land in Africa 2019
Organic agriculture occupied nearly 25 percent of Sao Tomé and Príncipe's total agricultural land in 2019. The country had by far the highest organic share of agricultural area in Africa, followed by Sierra Leone (four percent), Réunion, Egypt, and Tunisia (around three percent each). On average, organic farming had a small share of 0.2 percent in Africa's agricultural land.
