In 2023, the German automotive industry generated over 66 billion euros in revenue from selling new cars, marking an increase of about 2.6 percent from the previous year. However, the most significant percentage increase was seen in the trade of new lorries, which rose by almost 22.9 percent, exceeding ten billion for the first time in this period. Overall, the turnover of Germany's motor vehicle industry totaled around 207.3 billion euros.
