As of November 2021, Gen-Z shoppers accounted for around 33.9 percent of China's live commerce users. In comparison, Gen-X users made up around 27 percent of China's traditional e-commerce users. However, the same source also indicated that Gen-Z users were the main source of China's newly-added online shoppers as of 2021.
