
Usage of digital services in Kenya 2020, by service
Kenyans broadly used a mobile phone, computer, or the internet to send and receive money, according to a survey conducted in 2020. Over 90 percent of the respondents indicated making use of the digital service. The adoption of mobile money to buy airtime and data had a high penetration as well, at 67 percent. 13 percent, on the other hand, used e-commerce platforms in Kenya, while 27 percent of Kenyans adopted e-governance services or platforms.
