Major shopping locations for luxury items China 2021, by consumer age
According to a survey among Chinese luxury shoppers in October 2021, online channels accounted for 38 percent of the total luxury spending of China's Gen-Z high luxury spenders (who spent at least 40 thousand yuan a year on luxury items) in the past 12 months. In comparison, online channels only contributed to about 30 percent of the annual luxury spending for those above 25 years old.
