Almost 90 percent of investments made by Algeria's state-owned oil enterprise Sonatrach was in Exploration and Production (E&P) as of 2020. Projects and Technology (P&T) accounted for only three percent of the total. In that year, the total investment value amounted to 5.7 billion U.S. dollars.
