Medium-duty trucks are projected to be the most popular electric commercial vehicle type by 2026 in Germany, reaching just under 5,000 units at a compound annual growth rate of just over 58 percent between 2020 and 2026. By contrast, heavy duty vehicles represented 16 percent of the electric fleet. Germany is tipped to be the European country with the largest electric fleet.
