A survey of sports fans and participants in Canada in May 2021 revealed that 43 percent of sports fans attended local sporting events prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Meanwhile, 29 percent of sports fans attended national sports events before COVID-19, and 15 percent did not attend any sporting events.
