Awareness of virtual banking in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan 2021
According to a survey conducted in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, most respondents in Hong Kong and Taiwan were aware of virtual banking, with 86 percent and 79 percent of surveyed consumers saying so. In Macau on the other hand, only around a third of respondents stated they know about virtual banking. Virtual banks do not have physical branches and are also referred as web-only banks or neobanks.
