Usage share of installment plans in Macau 2021
According to a survey conducted in Macau in 2021, around 36 percent of consumers stated they had used installment plans within the past two years. During the coronavirus pandemic, the popularity of installment loans had increased across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. Especially Taiwanese consumers favored this payment method, whereas payment providers from mainland China such as Alipay are popular in Macau .
