In 2001, Globo's Jornal Nacional concentrated a share of over 63 percent in Brazil. Two decades later, the figure decreased by more than 25 percentage points, standing below 38 percent. Globo launched the TV news program – also known as JN – in 1969. It is aired from Mondays to Saturdays and remains one of Globo's most-viewed programs.
