As of February 2020, approximately 81 percent of online users in the United Kingdom in the 12 to 15 year age group reported to have experienced potential online harms within the past 12 months. Overall, 67 percent of those in the 16 to 24 year age group said they had faced potential harm whilst online in the past 12 months, however, this increased slightly to 70 percent for those in the 25 to 34 year age category. Internet user encounters with online harms decreased steadily with age.
