Japan Marine United Corporation is an equity-method affiliate of JFE Holdings and one of the leading shipbuilders in Japan. As of January 2021, the company merged some of its pre-production operations with Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. to form Nihon Shipyard Co., Ltd., strengthening international competitiveness.
