A New Zealand survey conducted in June 2020 showed that 14 percent of the people aged 18 to 24 who gambled were worried about their own gambling habits after lockdown was downgraded to level 1. During lockdown, in April of that year, the same demographic reported that just over a quarter were worried about their gambling habits. Overall, the levels of concern about own gambling have decreased across all age groups after lockdown.

The survey for Post-lockdown (level 1) was carried out between 10 - 19 June 2020, and the survey for during lockdown (level 4) was carried out between 7 - 13 April 2020.

Question asked in level 4 survey : "Since level 4 lockdown, have you started to worry at all about.."
