Leading supermarket retailers by EBITDA in Colombia in 2021
In 2021, Almacenes Éxito SA was the top ranking supermarket retailer in Colombia in terms of EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization). The hypermarket chain registered an EBITDA of approximately 1.11 trillion Colombian pesos. Koba Colombia Sas, a specialty food store retailer, ranked second with an EBITDA figure of about 793.65 billion Colombian pesos. Among the retailers listed, Mercaderia Sas was the only company that registered losses in 2021.
