In New Zealand, after the Level 1 lockdown, in a survey conducted in June 2020, 64 percent of the people returned to their pre lockdown drinking habits. However, 14 percent continue to drink more than they were pre-lockdown.

The survey for Post-lockdown (level 1) was carried out between 10 - 19 June 2020, and the survey for during lockdown (level 4) was carried out between 7 - 13 April 2020.
