According to a survey on digital inclusion conducted in 2022, around 91 percent of Australians accessed the internet to keep in touch with family or friends. Around 81 percent of people used the internet for online entertainment services.

The Australian Digital Inclusion Index (ADII) is a score out of 100 which rates the digital inclusion of the Australian population based on three criteria; access, affordability, and digital ability.
The survey sample has been stratified and weighted to reflect the Australian population.
