According to a recent survey conducted with fashion consumers in five European countries including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, about 43 percent of UK consumers thought it was important that the clothing they bought was made by workers paid a fair, living wage. This share was lower at 28 percent among Italian consumers surveyed in the study.
