According to a survey conducted between 2020 and 2021, among the Tunisians who were planning to emigrate, nearly 27 percent contacted a private employment agency located in Tunisia to find a job abroad. In addition, around 20 percent of the respondents contacted a Tunisian state agency to find employment in a foreign country.
Types of intermediaries contacted by Tunisians who intend to emigrate to find a job abroad as of 2021
The survey included a total of 27,607 respondents, of which:
- 11,148 Tunisians non migrants;
- 6,475 returnees;
- 7,003 migrants;
- 2,981 foreigners residing in Tunisia (immigrants).
