According to a survey of app publishers carried out in 2021, 31 percent of respondents had shifted their iOS marketing and advertising spending to Android. Approximately one in 10 of the surveyed app publishers reported shifting specifically their user acquisition spend to Android after Apple's privacy changes in April 2021. By comparison, 40 percent of respondents reported that their marketing budget allocation strategy did not change after the release of iOS 14.5.
