According to a December 2020 survey in Canada, most industry experts, 29.3 percent, felt that the importance of sport hosting and tourism had not changed in the aftermath of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic's affect on the sports industry that year. Meanwhile, a quarter of industry experts felt that the importance of sport hosting and tourism was much higher now.
