In 2020, the tobacco smoking rate in Kenya reached nearly nine percent, according to the estimates. The prevalence of tobacco smoking was higher among men, at roughly 17 percent. On the other hand, only 0.9 percent of the female population aged 15 years and older smoke tobacco in the country.
