Access to clean cooking in Kenya reflected an annual increase from 2012 onwards, reaching a peak in 2019. That year, roughly 17 percent of the country's population used cooking fuels and technologies considered clean. Measured against the clean cooking access rate in Africa, Kenya ranked slightly below the continent average.
