Number of companies receiving NOW Netherlands 2020-2021

In March of 2020, the Dutch government introduced a wage cost scheme to help employers pay for the wages of their employees during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which they called the NOW (Tijdelijke Noodmaatregel Overbrugging Werkgelegenheid). For the first installment of this, the NOW 1.0, 140 thousand companies applied for and received this financial compensation. This was less so for the NOW 2.0 as only 64 thousand companies received it. The NOW 3.1 and 3.2 were more used, with 79 and 76 thousand respectively. The NOW 3.3 and NOW 4.0 were used least with 45 thousand and 13 thousand.

NOW 3.2 lasted from January to March, 2021
NOW 3.3 lasted from April to June, 2021
NOW 4.0 lasted from July to September, 2021
