According to a survey in the U.S. conducted in October 2020, a large majority of adults opposed overturning the Affordable Care Act's (Obamacare's) protection for people with pre-existing conditions, even among republican voters. This is not unexpected as the same survey showed that nearly half of U.S. adults said they and/or someone else in their household had a serious health condition such as high blood pressure, heart disease, lung disease, cancer, or diabetes. This statistic presents the public support and opposition for overturning the Affordable Care Act's (ACA's) protections for people with pre-existing conditions in the U.S. in 2020, by party affiliation.
