According to a report conducted by Decision Lab in Vietnam in 2021, the majority of spectators turned to esports for entertainment purposes or for skill and strategy development, according to respectively 80.4 percent and 62.2 percent of respondents. In comparison, just under nine percent of respondents reported watched esports to save money.
