Highest level of education completed in Africa 2016-2018, by age group
Younger adults in Africa were more likely to have higher levels of formal education than older individuals, according to a survey conducted between 2016 and 2018. Among Africans aged 18-25 years, 50 percent attended secondary schools, while 16 percent had post-secondary as their highest level of education. On the other hand, only 17 percent of respondents aged 65 years and older attended secondary school, whereas eight percent completed post-secondary.
