A 2022 survey revealed that Canadian online shoppers ordered groceries from national grocery retailers more often than local ones. Compared to before the pandemic, seven percent of Canadian consumers bought much more frequently from national or large grocery stores. Meanwhile, about five percent did the same from local independent grocery stores.
