Economic impact of violence in Kenya 2010-2019
The economic impact of violence in Kenya was measured at 10.8 billion U.S. dollars adjusted for purchasing power parity (PPP) in 2019. Direct and indirect costs of violent acts were considered, taking into account the multiplier effect. Throughout the considered timespan, the annual cost of violence in Kenya remained relatively stable and averaged around 10 billion U.S. dollars.
