In 2020, rail freight circulated across some 15,200 kilometers in Argentina. State-owned Belgrano Cargas y Logística recorded the largest network in use, travelling over 7,600 kilometers of rail network across its three lines. Private company Nuevo Central Argentino was the second leading operator, with a network in use over half the length of the first in the ranking. The State-owned company also recorded the largest rolling stock fleet in use that same year.
