Current account balance as a share of GDP in North Africa 2018-2022
The current account balance in North Africa was projected at minus 4.9 percent of the region’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as of 2021. This represented an improvement compared to the previous year when the account balance in North African countries stood at nearly minus nine percent of the GDP. By 2022, further economic recovery was projected.
