Going for a direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce model seems to not create much conflict with sales intermediaries in Brazil. Around four out of ten manufacturing businesses that sold their products via D2C in Brazil had a (very) good relationship with sales intermediaries, a May 2021 survey showed. Only 15.4 percent of the businesspeople surveyed in companies using D2C said their relationship with retailers, representatives, and franchisees was bad or very bad.
