According to a survey on mobile apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in September 2021, 87 percent of respondents from the Philippines downloaded a mobile phone application through the Google Play store. The same survey revealed that mobile phone apps were usually used for purchasing an item and conducting a bank-related transaction.
