In 2022, the travel and tourism sector in Ghana contributed around 3.4 billion U.S. dollars to the country's gross domestic product. This increased compared to the 3.1 billion U.S. dollars registered in the preceding year. In 2023, the share was forecast to reach over 3.6 billion U.S. dollars.
