In 2020, residents of the Netherlands were asked in a survey what they were concerned about with respect to elections in Europe, 57 percent of those replied that they were concerned about elections being manipulated through cyberattacks and foreign actors and criminal groups influencing elections covertly. Notably, only 18 percent of those asked were concerned about people voting that are not entitled to vote.
