In Norway, life satisfaction increases with the age. While young adults have the highest share of people with a low life satisfaction, people aged 80 years or more have the highest share of those with a high life satisfaction. However, among all age groups, moderate life satisfaction was the most common answer.
Respondents were asked to rank their satisfaction on a scale of one to 10: 0-5 is considered low level of satisfaction, 6-8 is considered middle, and 9-10 is considered high.
