When decision-makers in SMEs in Belgium were asked what action related to environmental and social sustainability their enterprise was taking, 77 percent responded that they are improving the working conditions of their employees. A further 68 percent also said that they are promoting and improving diversity and equality in the workplace, whilst the highest environmentally sustainable action is third, as 65 percent said that their enterprise recycles or reuses materials. The least picked option that was presented to them was developing sustainable products or services at 29 percent.
