
Cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccination doses in Namibia 2022
As of February 25, 2021, Namibia administered a total of 814.5 thousand doses of the vaccine against the coronavirus (COVID-19). The country started the vaccination campaign on March 19, 2021, with the first 22 doses of Sinovac. This was after the Chinese government donated to Namibia 100 thousand doses of the vaccine. Additionally, the country is also using the Covishield vaccine, widely known as AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine. As of April 19, 2021, the country's Minister of Health declared that the second vaccination phase would be rolled out, after receiving 24,000 doses through the COVAX initiative. Namibia is recovering from the fourth wave of infections.
