According to a September 2024 study focusing on the travel intentions of Italians, 32 percent of respondents stated that they were planning to travel domestically over the following six months. Meanwhile, 55 percent of the sample intended to take an outbound trip to a neighboring or non-neighboring European destination. In contrast, only seven percent of the surveyed Italians planned a trip outside Europe as of September 2024.
