Bulgaria: presidential election results 2021

Rumen Radev won the Bulgarian presidential election in 2021, having received 66.72 percent of votes in the second round that took place on November 21, together with Iliana Iotova, his running mate and a candidate for vice-president. Radev and Iotova have occupied the positions of the country's president and vice-president since 2017. In the first round on November 14, 2021, they received just under 50 percent of the votes. Their main opponents were Anastas Gerdzhikov, rector of Sofia University, and his running mate Nevyana Miteva-Mateeva, who gained 22.83 percent of votes in the first and 31.8 percent of votes in the second round.

The turnout was 40.5 percent in the first and 34.84 percent in the second round.
