In May 2022, 20 percent of surveyed adults in the United States reported that their opinion of Facebook was very favorable. In addition, 33 percent of respondents said that their opinion was somewhat favorable. In late October 2021, Facebook restructured and rebranded itself as Meta while announcing a strategic shift towards the metaverse, a virtual reality project.
