In 2022, Niger and Benin were the most common countries of origin of tourists in Nigeria, with 16 percent and seven percent of the total arrivals that year, respectively. The United States and Benin followed. Overall, in 2021, inbound tourist expenditure in the country decreased compared to the preceding year.
