A June 2021 survey investigated the perception of inequality across different areas of women's sport in the United States. Overall, a significant portion of respondents recognized inequality in each of the highlighted areas within women's sport. Notably, more than half of respondents reported to observe inequality when it came to media coverage and athletes' salaries and winnings in women's sport in the United States.
