The operating profit or loss of the retail banking division of NatWest Group dropped markedly between 2018 and 2020, from around 1.85 billion British pounds down to 849 million British two years later. However, the operating profit of NatWest's retail banking division sharply increased in 2022, to 2.82 billion British pounds. In 2023, the profits stood slightly lower than the previous year, at 2.63 billion British pounds.
