Number of students enrolled in Tunisia 2020, by educational level and ownership
The number of students enrolled in public education in Tunisia is higher compared to those in private institutions. In the school year 2019/2020, around 1.2 million pupils attended public primary schools in the country, against roughly 98 thousand enrolled in private elementary schools. Lower-secondary, secondary, and tertiary education also saw a higher number of students in public institutes.
